Our Take:
The Phoenix are from a collection of piste-specific performance skis created to rip corduroy and arc perfectly carved turns on groomed trails. A product of Blizzard's Women 2 Women program, the Phoenix series is the female counterpart to Blizzard's Thunderbird series, with sizes, flex profiles, and constructions adapted to more appropriately fit the needs and demands of female rippers. Make no mistake, though, the Phoenix series doesn't make performance sacrifices. Rising out of the ashes of the old Alight models, the Pheonix series comes to life with a few important updates: a lighter construction (about 200g lighter per pair), a lower swing weight, increased durability through Duramax topsheet construction, and the addition of Blizzard's TrueBlend core construction. These changes combine to create a ski that's more durable, more accessible, and more precise on piste. For those lady rippers that find excitement in slicing fresh corduroy, and want a ski that makes arcing turns and transitions smooth and effortless, look no further than the all-new Phoenix series.
