Fresh for the 2022-23 season, the Blizzard Hustle series flies onto the lightweight freeride scene, blending primo downhill performance with plenty of uphill chops. The Hustle 9 enters the fray as the narrowest of the Hustles at 94mm underfoot. Essentially, this is a Rustler 9 with no metal and a specially tailored wood core. If you are familiar with the Rustlers, you know why that’s pretty enticing. Smooth and versatile, playful and stable. The Hustle trades some power for lightweight tour-ability, yet it still skis better than a majority of touring skis on the market. In the Blizzard collection, these skis slot nicely between the resort-focused Rustlers and the touring-specific Zero Gs. Hustle is about both. That means you could mount them with a hybrid touring binding, like the Salomon Shift or Marker Duke PT, and have one setup to rule them all. Or, make Hustle your backcountry tool with a tech binding and get steppin’.
