    Fitting a niche not common in the ski industry these days, the Blizzard Cochise 106 returns unchanged for the 2023-2024 season. Keep this in mind as you research its name: We do not recommend diving into the netherworld of Urban Dictionary for anything. Spring for legit historical accounts of the Apache chief by that moniker, and let us deliver the crude colloquialisms. UD defines a "cochise" as: "The ultimate badass...People will sometimes call others cochise to see just how badass the person they are calling cochise really is." Wherever you arrive at your definition, you'll probably arrive at the same conclusion about the skis. The Cochise 106 is made for badasses. In 2021, Blizzard updated this big mountain charger in two main ways: its shape (more sidecut, shorter radius) and weight (about 150g lighter). This means that the Cochise 106 is more accessible for aspiring badasses than its predecessors ever were. So while expert all-mountain chargers will still love its power and reliability, strong skiers looking to get even stronger now have a ski that will accompany them to levels of badassery they never dreamed of.
