Living in the front range, snow conditions can be very variable. I've skied these in everything from sastrugi to wind affected punch crust to 2 feet of fresh pow, and I have yet to find conditions these can't handle.
Now let's not forget about the first part of ski touring: going up hill. These won't leave you with tired legs at the top of your line. At 3200 grams, I still have plenty of leg to ski the steeps after hiking for miles with these on my feet. Black Crow created a real solid ski for every back country skier from beginners to experts.

The Black Crows Navis Freebird has long been our shop go-to for human-powered descents from Chamonix couloirs to Colorado I-70 dawn patrols. In its fourth generation, this iconic backcountry stallion drops roughly 10% in weight while refining its 104mm platform for even better maneuverability, stability, and edge grip. A fresh 21-meter radius and firm flex encourage you to open up your turns and charge wide-open alpine faces with absolute confidence. Up front, a progressive rocker floats effortlessly through soft snow, while the early-rise tail makes pivoting through tight trees second nature without losing tail support on steep terrain. Classic medium camber and a Titanal plate keep edge hold rock-solid, whether you mount lightweight pin bindings or a hybrid touring setup for hybrid duty. Black Crows even integrated a skin-specific hook system at the tail—and don\'t stress, that hole is definitely supposed to be there. With expanded sizing from 165 to 186cm, the redesigned Navis Freebird remains the golden ratio of easy skinning and aggressive downhill performance for touring skiers who live for the descent.

How to Return an Item
- Option 1: Bring the item to our store in Golden, Colorado for a full refund
- Option 2: Use a printable FedEx return label provided by Powder7:
- You are responsible for handing the package off at your local FedEx Office
- We do not provide return labels for any carrier other than FedEx
Returning New Items
- Please notify us within 30 days of receiving the new item if you would like to return it. Buying a gift? Don’t worry: our return window is extended around the holidays.
- Items may only be returned in their original new condition, including all packaging, tags, and accessories.
- All items must be re-packaged within a shipping box to prevent damage in transit.
- Returned items that arrive used, damaged, marked, or without all original packaging, tags, etc., will be refused and sent back to you.
- Once a pair of new skis has been mounted, it cannot be returned.
- When the return is processed, you will receive a full refund for the returned product(s), minus $10 for the prepaid return shipping label provided by Powder7. Please note: any outbound shipping charges are not refunded.
- Once we receive the return, please allow 3-5 business days for that refund transaction to appear on your account statement.
Returning New Ski Boots
- Please notify us within 30 days of receiving your new boots if you would like to return them.
- New ski boots may only be returned in their original new condition, including all packaging, tags, and accessories
- Boots must be returned inside their original undamaged boot box and re-packaged within a shipping box to prevent damage in transit.
- Any returned boots that arrive used, damaged, marked, or without all original packaging and a shipping box, will be declined and sent back to you.
- We always recommend trying on your new boots indoors to make sure they fit before taking them outside.
- Once we receive your return, please allow 3-5 business days for that refund transaction to appear on your account statement.
Returning Demo Skis and Other Used Items
- Please notify us within 7 days of receiving the item that you would like to return it.
- Once you ski on a pair of demo skis they cannot be returned.
- When the return is processed, you will receive a full refund for the product(s) as well as a refund for standard ground shipping ($39.99 for used skis, $19.99 for used snowboards, etc.). Please note: expedited shipping costs or international shipping costs will not be refunded.
- Once we receive your return, please allow 3-5 business days for that refund transaction to appear on your account statement.

We'll work with the manufacturer to determine if their warranty covers the damage. Determining if the issue is a manufacturing defect is solely up to the manufacturer, not Powder7.
