The Atomic Maverick 88 CTI will change the way you think about frontside skis. There shouldn�t be a ski so agile, while so locked in. So predictable, but not very much work to ski. You�ll think you unlocked cheat codes for skiing. The Maverick 88 CTI carves firm snow just as reliably as anyone could hope. But, it just so happens to also not kick your butt. This ski balances solid edge hold that feels precise and locked in, with a low swing weight. It feels relatively easy to get on the shovels and maintain a solid forward stance, while the return you get feels much larger than the input you put into the ski. The updated construction for 2026 manages to be dampening and smooth while using less resources (and shaves 16% of carbon emissions from the previous model). The classic Atomic calling card of HRZN 3D tip shape keeps the very tip of the ski floaty and loose, perfect for managing a smidge of soft snow and keeping the swing weight low. We love the Atomic Maverick 88 CTI for our Ski the East warriors navigating daily conditions. It works for stoked intermediates looking for something to progress on that feels confidence-inspiring, as well as advanced skiers looking for something predictable and quick, that isn�t too much work.
