MX98 Skis Now On Sale

Our Take On The 2024 Kastle MX98:

The MX98 is back! Despite overarching ski industry trends--lots of lightweight, easy-skiing all-mountain and freeride models--Kastle builds the MX98 as a fall-line hawking and unapologetic charger. If you look at all the skis on the market around 100mm underfoot, this will probably be the one with the most camber (though there is a splash of early rise for easier turn initiation) and the most directional profile. It is also one of the heaviest. If you are the type of skier who should be skiing the MX98, those details will only pique your interest. Because if you like charging down steep runs in all snow conditions, you know that a little extra heft and maximum edge hold can make you feel invincible. The MX98 will not be the ski that gets bucked off its line when you hit some chop or crud. No, no, no. This is the ski that blasts that nonsense out of the way. It is a phenomenal quiver-of-one for chargers with more traditional ski styles or a great addition to the quiver for speed-loving freeride skiers. Similar skis: Volkl Mantra M6, Blizzard Bonafide, Stockli Stormrider 95.
