If you've landed on this page, you're probably working in-store with one of our expert custom boot workers or you're doing research on what the best option for your foot could be. If you're the latter, you've found your answer. You have to be a veteran at Powder7 to make one of these, and for good reason. Knowledge of stance, flexibility, joint rigidity, injury history, and ski level all work together in a custom worker's head while setting, grinding, molding, and fine-tooth-combing Masterfit footbeds to be curated for an individual experience. We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two, believe me.
But what's the difference? Why is one so much more expensive? To make a long story short, the "standard" model is kind of like a drop-in footbed with a glove-like fit for the bottom of your foot. it feels like it was made for you because, in fact, it is molded directly to the shape of your specific foot in-store. It's also called an "instaprint" footbed because it's heated up, molded, and stabilized in your boot fairly quickly. It's a great option if you don't have any major injuries, significantly abnormal arch shapes, or an overly rigid or flexible foot.
The "pro" model takes an extra bit of experience because it's basically hand built. Based on your measurements and other information about your skiing experience a specific density of support foam is chosen, attached, ground down, and tweaked by your boot worker. The technology is advanced, but so is the person you're working with for this footbed. The Pro model is the best and most curated support you can get for your feet inside of your boots. Have a weird arch? No problem. Have a flat foot? No problem. Ski hard? No problem. Have any customization you need to make imaginable? Absolutely no problem. If you're going to spring for a footbed, it should be this one.

Our Take:

Masterfit sets the industry standard for custom insoles. Made individually for you in store by one of our experienced bootfitters to perfectly contour and support your foot, no matter the foot size or shape. Enjoy the full support made specifically to fit your needs and say goodbye to aching and sore feet while skiing.

Manufacturing Defects

We work with the best manufacturers in the winter sports industry, but occasionally defects do occur. If you think your product has a manufacturing defect please contact us. We'll work with the manufacturer to determine if their warranty covers the damage. Determining if the issue is a manufacturing defect is solely up to the manufacturer, not Powder7. Please note, this process can take several weeks and we will keep you updated as we correspond with the manufacturer.
