Icelantic Skis 2023-2024 Preview

Icelantic Skis 2024: The First Look

Just down the road from Powder7 HQ is Icelantic skis. Home grown in the Rocky Mountains and filled with staff stoked on riding, Icelantic always pushes out rad skis made with love for skiers, by skiers. For the 2023/2024 season, Icelantic shakes things up with the return of an icon: the Shaman 2.0. We also get a couple new skis, and as always, beautiful new graphics. Let’s dive into the Icelantic skis 2024 collection.

What’s New

The big news from Icelantic this year is a revamp of an iconic model: the Shaman. 2024 brings the new Shaman 2.0 99 and the Shaman 2.0 110. Both skis bring back a familiar shape you may have seen in years past. Lots of taper, a wide shovel, a tight turn radius, and plenty of tip rockers make for a ski that’s excited to turn. The tapered shape and wide shovel lend these skis to better powder performance than you’d expect for skis at these widths. The directional rocker shape (deep tip rocker, with some tail rocker) ensures you still have the power to hold an edge well.

But that’s not all. Icelantic also releases a new all-mountain ski: the Pioneer X. Icelantic took the shape of their Pioneer 96 and added some features to beef up the ride. A new core featuring birch stiffens things from the start, and Icey adds a carbon fiber “veil” that runs through the entire ski. All those things add up to a ski that’s more torsionally rigid and stronger as you bash around the mountain.

New graphics on the rest of the Icelantic collection. From the mega-popular Saba and Nia series to the classic Nomad and Maiden series. We’ll update with photos as we get them, but just looking at the catalog, this is a good year to treat yourself to the most bombproof skis around.
