Black Crows Skis 2023: The First Look
Updating a Classic
With a distinct flair for freeride fun—and French flavor—Chamonix-based Black Crows continues to grow in popularity across North America. It’s wild to think that we became the first North American Black Crows dealer more than half a decade ago. Time flies, and we’re still smitten with Black Crows skis.
Specifically, the Atris and Atris Birdie have reigned supreme in the wider all-mountain and freeride category of skis. You won’t find many skis in our warehouse more widely loved among our staff than these flagship models.
So, Black Crows caught our attention when they announced changes to the Atris and Captis. And in addition to the structural updates, these skis get new paint jobs and expanded sizing options for the 2022-2023 season.

What’s New
Graphic and structural updates to the Captis and Captis Birdie. Black Crows reduced the rocker in these skis and moved the contact points out toward the tips and tails. They also feature softer flex patterns. The claim? More able across frontside terrain and conditions while still being versatile all-mountain skis.
Graphic and structural updates to the Atris, and Atris Birdie. Changes mirror the edits to the other all-mountain/freeride skis listed above: new contact points, new rocker lines, new flex. Additionally, the Atris slims down a bit to a 105mm waist width.
The popular Camox Freebird sheds more than 200 grams.
Other Highlights
The Resort line features the Orb (88mm+H-shaped double titanal), Vertis (85mm), Divus (82mm), and Arto (68mm).
The Ferox Freebird, the widest touring ski in the line, returns unchanged, along with the Navis Freebird.
