Rossignol Skis 2024: The First Look

Free the Send, Free the Mind.

After revamping their freeride collection into the more directional “Senders” and more progressive “Black Ops” skis, Rossi drops a brand new ski to the mix: The Sender Free 110. Alongside with some new all-mountain carvers with cool new design, 2024 Rossignol skis bring a lot for skiers all over the mountain in 2024.

What’s New

Rossi drops a new ski this year that we’re super pysched on with the Sender Free 110. With more rocker in the tip and tail than the other Sender skis, the Sender Free 110 feels more freeride-y in that you can more easily swing the skis sideways and pivot. It has much of the same tech as the other Senders with AirTec and the titanal beam.

You will find a bigger titanal plate underfoot, giving you more power in the middle and softer tips and tails for a playful feel in soft snow and playing on features. We won’t dive too deep here, but staffer Matt put together a full review already for your ski nerding pleasure.

Rossignol is also introducing a whol new line of all-mountain carvers: Forza.

Check out the pronounced tip shape on the Forza above. Carve-y.

The new Forza skis focus on a pronounced sidecut. The tips are quite wide, with a sub 80mm waist width, and a wider tail. As such, these skis like to turn. Rossi’s goal here was to be able to easily get into a turn, but also be able to get out of it, rather than being locked into a longer arcing turn.

The Forza model name refers to the edge angle at which they expect the skier to ski it. The Forza 70° is the most aggressive, letting you really be able to lean into it and lay your edges over. Forza 60° will be perfect for aggressive, but maybe less experienced skiers still dialing that technique. The lower the number, the more recreational they carve.

Other Highlights

Rossignol softly introduced their new Essential ski last year. These skis demonstrate new trend in the industry to move toward more sustainable constructions and product life cycles. Made without any water consumption and up to 77% recyclable, the Essential illustrates what a truly sustainable product cycle could look like. From ski tester Matt, perhaps the greatest feedback possible “it skis like a real ski”.

We also get a new touring ski, the Escaper 105 Nano. This ski mirrors the Escaper 97 Nano in construction, with deeper tip rocker (for pow).

The frontside focused all-mountain Experience skis get new graphics.

The Black Ops 98 + 118 return unchanged, alongside with the regular Sender skis.

The women’s Rallybirds (compliments to the Sender skis), also return unchanged.
