Check out our preview of 2020 Atomic skis.
Highlights from the 2019 Atomic skis lineup:
New Vantage Points
Atomic has been tinkering with the Vantage lineup for several years. The 2019 edition is no different. The skis on both the women’s and men’s sides not only look much different (hello, neat-looking 3D topsheets), but they will feel different on snow.
By introducing Prolite Construction, visible in colorful, window-like panels between the bindings and tips of the skis, Atomic aims to lighten the Vantages without compromising their characteristic balance of stiffness and skiability.
The Redesigned (and the New) Bent Chetler
Atomic’s widely-loved Bent Chetler has grown into a family. The fattest model comes in at 120mm underfoot, and it’s significantly lighter (carbon) than previous iterations of the line. The goal: extra fun and extra surfable.
That construction also shows up in the new Bent Chetler 100, which profiles as a playful-yet-able all-mountain, powder-loving freeride/freestyle ski. One rep at Outdoor Retailer said Atomic wants it to become the “Collegiate Ski of the Year.”
The Bent Chetler will also be available in a 90mm-waisterd “Mini” version, offered in a wide number of sizes: 133, 143, 153, and 163.
The Shift
Matching its sister company, Salomon, Atomic will also release arguably one of the most hyped-up bindings in industry history: The Shift MNC. Check out our review of the Shift.
