2016 Moment Sierra On Snow Review

I have heard nothing but good things about the Moment Sierra, but I didn’t believe it until I skied it. And boy was everybody wrong about this ski! It wasn’t just good, it was incredible! I was blown away by how much confidence this ski gave me. I was able to carve hard and fast on trail, and when I put the ski on edge I could definitely feel the Dirty Mustache Rocker. I could feel how much better of an edge hold I had compared to the rocker/camber profiles of other skis which gave me the confidence to charge. The Sierra felt good carving at high speeds but it really blew me away by how playful it was. When I wanted to slow down and find the fun, the Sierra didn’t let me down. I was able to really press into the tips and tails and butter for days. They handled like a dream in the softer snow. I was able to really slash the pow and smear my turns in the deeper snow.

Hands down this is the one ski quiver for the ladies. The rockered tip and tail, low center camber, and two sections of micro-camber assure the best edge hold on hardpack giving you ultimate confidence to charge. But when you don’t want to lay in the edge you can press into the tips and tails and really smear your turns and take advantage of the playful and poppy core.

All in all, I was amazed as to how versatile and accommodating the Sierra was. It skied well all over the mountain without sacrificing performance in other areas. Additionally, the Sierra harmonized with different ski styles; I could charge hard and ski aggressively or slow down, have some fun and play on the ski. Regardless of skier ability or skier style, the Moment Sierra will find the fun!
