Rossignol Skis 2022: The First Look
Life Experience.
A year after a massive overhaul, Rossignol is still riding high on the new freeride collection, BLACKOPS. That series of skis sees only two updates for the 2021-2022 season: a new topsheet for the all-mountain crushing Escaper and a brand-new touring ski, the Alpineer 96. More on those later.
The brunt of Rossignol’s design work ahead of next season focused on the Experience line. After more than half a decade of slicing and dicing groomers from coast to coast, Experience skis get a revamp. Rossignol looked to return some of the carving flavor from the original Experience models into the 2022 collection, while still retaining the all-mountain versatility from last year’s skis.
What’s more: at each waist width, the Experience will be offered in a titanal version (more aggressive) and a basalt version (more accessible).

What’s New
New touring ski: Black Ops Alpineer 96. Built with a tapered basalt layer for dampening, plus paulownia and carbon. More durable and more torsional rigidity than the narrower Alpineer. 96mm waist width.
New freeride ski: Black Ops Sender Squad. This is a cult classic in the making. Only available in 194cm size, the Sender Squad brings the progressive flex and damp-yet-playful traits of the Sender into a 112mm-waisted powder-hawking ripper.
New Experience men’s skis: 86 Ti, 86 Basalt, 82 Ti, 82 Basalt, 80 Carbon, 78 Carbon. New contact points (closer to the tips/tails), poplar core, more carving agility. Rigid yet smooth.
New Experience women’s skis: 82 Ti W, 82 Basalt W, 80 Carbon W, 78 Carbon W. Same ingredients as men’s versions, tailored flex for women.
New graphics for the Black Ops Escaper.
Other Highlights
The rest of the Black Ops collection comes back unchanged.
Slight updates to the All Track collection of boots. All Track Pro boots get GripWalk soles at 120 and 130. The All Track 120 becomes the 130.
