Conservation Colorado Gives a Voice to the Western Wild

Update: Our 7% day on February 25 resulted in a donation of $5,204 for Conservation Colorado!

There’s a saying in skiing: If you can’t hack it, don’t hack it.

In layman’s terms: Keep the backcountry wild.

For the last handful of years, we have been a proud partner of Conservation Colorado. They work to protect Colorado’s climate, land, air, water, and communities through organizing, advocacy, and elections. In other words: They fight for the places we play, the places we like to look at, and the future of our natural resources.

For more than 50 years, Conservation Colorado has “been a recognized leader in the Colorado environmental community, working statewide at the intersection of smart policy and smart politics to ensure that our quality of life and our environment are protected.” They are the largest statewide environmental organization, with offices in Denver, Grand Junction, Durango, Carbondale, and Pueblo.

The Latest From Conservation Colorado

Big picture, Conservation Colorado is “working to fight the climate crisis, permanently protect Colorado lands, keep Colorado’s drinking water clean and rivers healthy for future generations, and undo environmental injustice and racism.”

Currently, those efforts include pushing the Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy (CORE) Act, a bill in the making for more than a decade that would protect 400,000 acres of Colorado through various land designations.
