Everybody needs a ski community.
Not to be too forward, but we want this to be more than a transactional relationship. Sure, we aggressively sell ski gear all winter. But we also do our best to contribute to the Colorado ski community by hosting a slew of events each season. Here’s a rundown of those, as well as some others in the area that you’ll see us at in our off hours.

September 26 – Friends of CAIC Fundraiser @ New Terrain
We’ll be joining Friends of CAIC at their new Fall Jamboree down at one of our favorite Golden spots, New Terrain. This will be a sweet event, with tons of other backcountry ski vendors and a raffle benefiting Friends of CAIC and the work they do to support avalanche education and reporting. The Powder7 crew will be bringing a special spread of clearance backcountry equipment and other goodies available for purchase on the spot. Oh, and live music!
October 9 – Powder7 Season Kickoff Party
We are hosting our annual ski season kickoff bash in downtown Golden at the Buffalo Rose! This year features a Norse theme to properly appeal to Ullr and other snow spirits for the sickest winter possible.
Join us for live music, a raffle benefiting Friends of CAIC, a wicked costume contest (if you were there last year, you know what we’re talking about), and a ski sacrifice to Ullr. Bring your dead skis you don’t know what to do with, and donate them for Ullr’s appeal. Don’t worry—these skis won’t go to waste. We’ll repurpose them.
Time: 6pm-10pm
Admission: Free entry, no tickets or RSVP required
October 12 – Matchstick Productions The Way Out Premiere
Once again, our friends at Matchstick Productions have cooked up yet another incredible film. With athletes like Hoji, Logan Pehota, Craig Murray, Tonje Kvivik, Janelle Yip, Ben Richards, Dylan Siggers, Manon Loschi, and many, many more, this is just the way to get inspiration flowing for the upcoming season.
