7% of our sales on Feb. 4th are going to NSCD
Every month during the winter, we pick one day to contribute to the ski community with 7% of our sales for the day. This month, we’re partnering with the National Sports Center for the Disabled with a 7% donation on Wed. Feb 4th. That means gear you buy that day goes towards something bigger than an improved quiver.

Any skier knows there’s something special about sliding on snow. The rush of fresh mountain air, the thrill of movement, the joy of outdoor recreation. This is the experience that the NSCD brings to thousands of individuals who might otherwise not get the chance. Based in Winter Park, Colorado, NSCD has been breaking down barriers since 1970, ensuring that outdoor sports and recreation are truly accessible to everyone.
What they do
Their adapative ski program in the winter is seriously impressive. Picture this: A first-time skier with limited mobility arrives at Winter Park Resort, probably feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. The NSCD team springs into action with their awesome adaptive equipment arsenal. They’ve got everything from sit-skis (think of them as high-performance snow chairs) to outriggers (special ski poles with mini-skis attached) that help with balance and turning. Their certified instructors work one-on-one with each participant, customizing everything to fit their specific needs. By the end of the day, that nervous first-timer is cruising down the slopes with a huge smile on their face.
But NSCD isn’t just about winter sports. When the snow melts, they’re busy getting people out on mountain bikes, up rock climbing walls, into kayaks, and even on horseback. They work with pretty much anyone who wants to get out there and try something new – kids as young as three, military veterans, adults with physical or cognitive disabilities, you name it.
Here’s what makes NSCD so special: they don’t just focus on teaching sports. Sure, that’s a big part of it, but what they’re really doing is helping people discover what they’re capable of. When someone conquers a ski run they never thought possible, that confidence carries over into everything else they do. Plus, there’s nothing like bonding with others on the chairlift or sharing high-fives at the bottom of the run.
We’re stoked to help support NSCD’s mission of getting more people out enjoying sports. Every year, they help over 4,000 people discover new abilities and push their limits. From the slopes of Winter Park to the trails of the Rocky Mountains, NSCD is proving that outdoor sports really are for everyone. We think that’s pretty awesome.
