Armada Skis 2021: The First Look<\/h2>\n

Best known for their freeride and freestyle skis, Armada comes to bat for the 2021 season with some fresh updates, including the addition of the all new Declivity series.<\/p>\n

With four new skis in the line, the Declivity X<\/a>, 102 Ti<\/a>, 92 Ti<\/a>, and 82 Ti<\/a> provide all-mountain performance for resort riders looking for one ski to do it all. A healthy dose of Armada playfulness at the tips for easy turn initiation combined with stability underfoot gives Armada skis a brand new take on all-mountain performance. We’ve been waiting, and the time has come.<\/p>\n

What’s New<\/h3>\n

The Declivity 102 Ti<\/a>, 92 Ti<\/a>, and 82 Ti<\/a><\/strong> contain a lightweight caruba core, triaxial glass, and Articulated Titanal Banding to deliver one heck of an all-mountain ski that will make hard-chargers swoon. The Articulated Titanal Banding is fancy talk for metal. These titanal layers have vertical cut-outs at the tips, making turn initiation easier while still providing energy and dampness for skiing in all terrain.<\/p>\n

The Declivity X<\/strong><\/a> contains a slightly different construction. Designed in collaboration with Tof Henry, this 115mm big mountain charger skis the steepest and deepest. A Hybrid Caruba Core coupled with AR Freeride Rocker gives this behemoth maneuverability when conditions get dicey, while still maintaining stability and energy needed for conquering rowdy terrain.<\/p>\n

The ARV series introduced the first set of twin tip skis to the world several years ago, and the skis have remained essentially the same since. This year is no exception. That is minus the ARV 106<\/strong><\/a>. Returning with the addition of Smear Tech at the tips to provide better float, and extended edges at the tips for better edge hold than the ARV 116 JJ<\/b><\/a>. It contains the same construction as the rest of the line, but now with a more even flex, different shape, and a bit more forgiving. The all new ARV 106 is a sure-fire hit.<\/p>\n

\"Armada
The updates to the ARV 106 will make it a more fun, playful, and surfy all-mountain ski. The ARV series isn’t too shabby on the eyes, either.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The ARW series features no new changes, minus graphics, although the ARW 116 VJJ<\/strong><\/a> will now feature an ultralite construction. Still the same surf and play we quickly grew to love about the resurrected VJJ, but now lighter in weight.<\/p>\n

Other Highlights<\/h3>\n

The Tracer<\/a> and Trace series remain unchanged, with the exception of the 88 waistwidth. The Trace and Tracer 88 skis are now lighter in weight, and will be directed more towards the ski-mo folks of the world.<\/p>\n
