For years, these do-it-all skis have made a flawless one-ski quiver for western skiers. With the Origins well-established on the freeride scene, Liberty looks to grow their all-mountain\/frontside presence with their built-to-rip V Series and the new <strong>VMT Evolv<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9255\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9255\" style=\"width: 596px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9255 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Liberty-origin-2020.jpg\" alt=\"2020 Liberty Skis\" width=\"596\" height=\"497\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Liberty-origin-2020.jpg 596w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Liberty-origin-2020-300x250.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 596px) 100vw, 596px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9255\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Apart from flashy new topsheets, the Origins are back unchanged.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>2020 Liberty Skis Preview: The Origin and Genesis Lines<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Liberty revised the men&#8217;s<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Liberty-Origin-106-Skis\/for-sale\">Origin 106<\/a> <\/strong>and women&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Liberty-Genesis-106-Skis\/for-sale\"><strong>Genesis 106<\/strong>.<\/a>\u00a0 They dropped the tip profile on both skis, which will make them easier to turn, but still schmear-y as ever. With a the longer effective edge, they\u2019ll lay trenches better than ever (and they were pretty dang good before).\u00a0 For the big mountain skier, 2020 Origin\/Genesis 106 will make an excellent one-ski quiver.<\/li>\n<li>Why mess with success? The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Liberty-Origin-96-Skis\/for-sale\">Origin 96<\/a> <\/strong>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Liberty-Genesis-96-Skis\/for-sale\"><strong>Genesis 96<\/strong><\/a> are back unchanged in 2020.<\/li>\n<li>After slimming down from a 116 waist in 2019, the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Liberty-Origin-96-Skis\/for-sale\">Origin 112<\/a><\/strong> will return unchanged in 2020. Likewise, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Liberty-Origin-Pro-Skis\/for-sale\">Origin Pro<\/a> <\/strong>comes back untampered, after replacing the Schuster Pro in 2019.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Liberty-Genesis-90-Skis\/for-sale\"><strong>Genesis 90<\/strong><\/a> is back in action, though its brother ski, the Origin 90, is gone\u2026 but Liberty says they have something special up their sleeves&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9256\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9256\" style=\"width: 601px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9256 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/2020-Liberty-Evolv.jpg\" alt=\"2020 Liberty Skis\" width=\"601\" height=\"536\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/2020-Liberty-Evolv.jpg 601w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/2020-Liberty-Evolv-300x268.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 601px) 100vw, 601px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9256\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The brand new Evolv Series blends the Origin&#8217;s playfulness VMT&#8217;s precision.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>2020 Liberty Skis Preview: VMT Highlights<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Liberty releases the <strong>VMT Evolv 90<\/strong> and <strong>Evolv 100<\/strong>\u2014a blend of the Origin and V-Series. The VMT 90 replaces the Origin 90, and will share its poppy attitude.\u00a0 But these new boards are built to rip, thanks to a flatter tail and Liberty&#8217;s Vertical Metal Technology.<\/li>\n<li>The men\u2019s VMT series comes back with a few structural updates. The <strong>V76,<\/strong> <strong>V82<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Liberty-V92-Skis\/for-sale\"><strong>V92<\/strong><\/a> have stiffer shovels, bolstered with more carbon than 2019 models.<\/li>\n<li>Brand new for 2020, Liberty introduces a women&#8217;s line to the V Series, featuring the <strong>V76 W<\/strong> and <strong>V82 W<\/strong>. Like the men\u2019s version, the VMT W is built with Liberty\u2019s Vertical Metal Technology, \u00a0carbon stringers, bamboo, and poplar wood.
