So they ran with it. Now, looking at the lineup of 2020 Salomon skis, there&#8217;s even more to be excited about. All the QSTs get new constructions and should even more playful and stable. The carbon, basalt, and flax are blended together in the new models from tip to tail, and there&#8217;s an extra layer of flax plus cork tips to optimize dampness at a lower swingweight.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All of this allows you to really attack your steeps,&#8221; said a Salomon rep at Outdoor Retailer.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9188\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9188\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9188\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8254.jpg\" alt=\"2020 salomon skis\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8254.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8254-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8254-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8254-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9188\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">If the new QSTs ski as good as they look, it will be a nice year for Salomon.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>The Highlights<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/salomon-s-lab-shift-binding-review\/\"><strong>Salomon Shift<\/strong><\/a> binding comes back unchanged for 2020.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>S Force<\/strong> series rolls out as a new frontside all-mountain ski with wider waist widths than the S Max skis.<\/li>\n<li>New construction for <strong>QST 92, 99, <\/strong>and<strong> 106:<\/strong>\u00a0Poplar core, thicker sidewalls plus carbon, basalt, and extra flax, all blended together throughout the skis. New tip shape and shorter taper.
