Because for a company that typically makes small, incremental updates, the lineup of 2020 Kastle skis features some big changes. The FX, &#8220;free cross,&#8221; family is expanded and rebuilt. It swallows the old BMX series, serving up a formidable collection: the FX86, 96, 106, and 116. The wild kicker? Kastle brings back the Vogue name from an &#8217;80s collection and slaps it on a three-ski all-mountain family, including the FX96 W along with the new DX85 W and DX75 W. It replaces the LX series.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>The Highlights<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>New <strong>DX (73 and 85)<\/strong> series of frontside skis. Men&#8217;s versions include metal, early rise, and full camber. Women&#8217;s versions are built to the same profile sans metal.<\/li>\n<li>New <strong>FX96 W<\/strong>: Lighter than men&#8217;s version with a wood core wrapped with fiberglass plus new, larger hollowtech tips for improved dampening.<\/li>\n<li>New <strong>FX86 <\/strong>and<strong> FX116<\/strong>:\u00a0&#8220;Non HP&#8221; with bigger hollowtech than previous versions (better dampening) and fiberglass plus wood in the cores. Lighter swingweights.<\/li>\n<li>New <strong>FX96\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>FX106<\/strong>:\u00a0&#8220;HP&#8221; versions, but still without metal. HP indicates a carbon-sandwiched core. These also feature bigger hollowtech tips.<\/li>\n<li>New accessible on-piste carving ski: <strong>PX71<\/strong>.
