It&#8217;s been a long time in the making, something we&#8217;ve been working toward for 2 years. We have a strong attachment to our old logo, which itself morphed slightly over the years. My sister-in-law sketched it on a napkin back in 2009, I tweaked it in Adobe Illustrator, and voila!<\/p>\n<p>You can hear me wax poetic\u2014and get all emotional\u2014about our beloved original logo in the below Facebook Live video from November 14th, when we announced the winner of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/powder7-logo-contest\/\">logo design contest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FPowder7%2Fvideos%2F2275170179222760%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=267\" width=\"267\" height=\"476\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Why the new logo?<\/h3>\n<p>Our business has evolved over the years. We wanted something that truly fits our values and reflects who we are. We were drawn to the snowflake symbol because it&#8217;s the universal icon for winter, and speaks to who we are in a way that mountains alone can&#8217;t quite capture. We&#8217;re outspoken advocates for the fight on climate change, we live winter every day of the year, and we&#8217;re all about the joy that comes from snow.<\/p>\n<h3>Is anything else changing?<\/h3>\n<p>Nope! It&#8217;s still us: same owners (Jordan and me), same amazing staff, same ridiculously huge selection of ski gear at all price points. He won our logo contest that ran from August through October of 2018.
