But in our backyard here in Colorado, powder chasing is a winter ale. Our springtime saison: sun-soaked corn snow in the backcountry.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;end&#8221; of the season can actually be the best time to ski, from a certain perspective. Snowpack consolidates, making big-mountain lines typically safer, and many folks move on to other spring activities. And what&#8217;s not to like about crisp beers, sun-bathing (goggle tans), and portable camp chairs for the apr\u00e9s?<\/p>\n<p><em>(Update for Spring 2020: This post was originally published during a non-COVID spring\u2014hence, our old logo!
