I’m a big fan of Flylow. The company is great to work with and their gear just lasts (I haven’t had to deal with any warranty issues). I have a few hats but had never tried the gloves. Now I know what you’re thinking, “the gloves are the best! What were you waiting for?” I know, I know, I should have bought these years ago. I got a pair of the Ridge Gloves this winter. You can check them out here<\/a>. I wasn’t always so keen on the dirty, work-glove look but it has grown on me- plus, grunge is back. I also already owned several pairs of mittens and gloves.<\/p>\n

I was a little hesitant to wear these gloves in the deepest part of winter because my hands are usually pretty cold. I finally decided to take out the Ridge Gloves because my mittens were still wet from the day before when I had been riding Copper Mountain. The great thing about living in Colorado and having friends with ski houses is that you can resort hop. Its probably the most luxurious part of my life. Anyway, my friends and I were going to do a half day at Keystone so that we could beat the Sunday traffic back to town (not so luxurious). We like to wake up early, park close, and get first chair. I’ll tell you a secret, you can get double the number of runs in the morning if you make first chair. Shhhh!! It’s a secret. It was cloudy, snowy, and maybe 15 degrees that day. We rode all morning and my fingers only got cold on the Wayback chair. That’s the slowest chair back from the Outback so I usually get cold there anyway. They’re totally snow-proof and soft on the inside. The cuff fits really well under my jacket too for a nice breeze-free fit. As I wear them more and more, they’re softening up too for better dexterity.<\/p>\n

I definitely recommend the Flylow Ridge Glove. If you’re not keen on the natural leather look, there’s also a moss green and a denim blue version. If you’re not ready to make the jump to gloves, they also make a mitten called the Oven Mitt<\/a>.<\/p>\n
