“You should totally call in sick tomorrow so we can go shred some fresh…” \u00a0You know you have been convinced, on at least one occasion, to blow off work and go ski or ride. \u00a0You probably have even been the one doing the convincing, I know I have. \u00a0This on-going conversation between friends during ski season gave Line Skis the great idea to come out with a 3 ski lineup, all with the title of “Sick Day”. \u00a0The Sick Day comes in three different waist widths; 95mm<\/a>, 110mm<\/a> and 125mm<\/a>. \u00a0A few weeks ago, Blake wrote a great\u00a0review on the Sick Day 125<\/a>\u00a0and how it destroys big mountain powder lines. \u00a0With spring skiing conditions on everyone’s mind, today we are going to focus on the Sick Day 95. \u00a0To me, this is the ideal do-everything ski for most days, but makes for an amazing spring ski.<\/p>\n

A 95mm waist, with rocker in the tip and tail, make this ski a beast for conquering the entire mountain. \u00a0Spring skiing is different for everyone. \u00a0I like to start off the day looking for anything that may still be soft in the trees, then transition to groomers, then finish up the day on some “slushy” bumps. \u00a0The Sick Day 95 is literally perfect for all of these disciplines. \u00a0The tip and tail rocker make the ski incredibly maneuverable in tight spaces like bumps and trees. \u00a0I like to be in the trees most of the time, but the wider skis can be tough to maneuver when the snow is not fresh, crunchy and maybe even icy. \u00a0The Sick Day 95 is a great ski to take in trees when there has not been an abundance of fresh snow. \u00a0I was possibly most impressed with the groomed run performance of the Sick Day 95. \u00a0Usually when you have a ski with tip rocker, tail rocker, and no metal, there can inevitably be some chatter and loss of stability. \u00a0Not on this ski. \u00a0I swear, I skied these things just as fast as I ever have and noticed zero chatter and absolutely no loss of stability. \u00a0When you tip the ski up on edge, the rockered portions in the tip and tail engage and make for a nice smooth carve.<\/p>\n

Another obviously fantastic thing about these skis, is how light they are. \u00a0The Sick Day 95 is no softy though, do not be fooled. \u00a0The relatively stiff wood core gets you snappy responsiveness on the frontside. \u00a0Without the added weight of metal, this would make for an awesome everyday touring ski. \u00a0The lightweight core and the rocker make this a super fun ski to throw around in the slush also. \u00a0Weather it is your first powder ski, touring machine or just your all around everyday ripper; the Sick Day 95 can handle anything you throw at it.<\/p>\n
