On Colorado Gives Day, we&#8217;re donating 7% of sales to their cause: Support avalanche forecasting and education in Colorado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/pow-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18967\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Want to get the pow? PHOTO: Bianca Germain<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Friends of CAIC <\/strong>was formed in 2005 to promote avalanche safety in<br>Colorado and support the recreation program of CAIC. The Friends of CAIC has, since then,<br>established a strong voice in Colorado as the fundraising entity for CAIC, hosting fundraising<br>events and marketing avalanche safety throughout the state every winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Closely tied to Friends of CAIC is the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, our avalanche forecasting and education tool here in Colorado.
