Keeping things dialed, with high quality materials, and good old fashioned traditional ski design. It&#8217;s what made the Supershape and Kore series so successful. As it tuns out, innovation never ends, so Head is taking a look at the mega-popular Supershape series and giving them an update. Not to mention, a whole new touring setup. The biggest difference is a tweaked sidecut. They&#8217;ve taken out some of the width in the tip. The goal is to make the skis less hooky and not pull you into turns as aggressively. Ultimately, the core construction is the same and the raidii on all the models remain the same. You can expect the same high end performance and energy, with just some refined turn initiation and links. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/head-skis-2025-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16022\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/head-skis-2025-3.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/head-skis-2025-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/head-skis-2025-3-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>You can see the less exaggerated tip shape on the Supershapes. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Head also is dropping an entire new touring collection: the <strong>Crux. <\/strong>With several new boots and skis and a new binding from Tyrolia, the Crux focuses on lightweight performance. The boots and skis all live solidly in the lightweight category rather than a more heavy, hybrid class. This is ideal for folks pushing distances and vertical terrain while still needing something that is stable and reliable on the down hill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/head-skis-2025-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16023\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/head-skis-2025-5.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/head-skis-2025-5-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/head-skis-2025-5-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The new Crux ski on the left, with new Oblivion graphics just right.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s a variety of new widths; a <strong>Crux 105 Pro, 99 Pro, 93 Pro, 87 Pro, and 81 Pro. <\/strong>The Pros include the full traxial &#8220;carbon jacket&#8221; with a full width carbon weave layer. The Crux 99 Pro comes in a 1385 per ski in a 184cm.
