Head Skis 2023: The First Look<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2023 Head lineup brings the most colorful Kores yet.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Coming off an overhaul that improved the flagship Kore series of all-mountain and freeride skis, Head decided to approach the new 2022-2023 season with modern wisdom: same same, but different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That overhaul a year ago worked wonders for a collection of skis that was already widely popular. New chamfered sidewalls improved topsheet durability. Edits to the rocker profiles and shapes\u2014tailored to each waist width\u2014added to the Kores’ versatility. In the same family, you could find a legit all-mountain carver and also smeary soft snow ski. And with more waist widths than ever, the Kores expanded to reach even more skiers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new skis? Same same on the inside. Different on the outside. Brushed with more paint than ever before, the Kores finally have some personality to match their competitors in this category. Add to that the fact that the women’s versions are finally easy to distinguish from the men’s, and you get updates we can applaud. Oh\u2014and the topsheets are now made out of plastic, making them more durable yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s New<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Kore <\/strong>skis come back in the same models but with new art and plastic topsheets to further improve durability. That includes the 87<\/a>, 93<\/a>, 99<\/a>, 105<\/a>, 111<\/a>, and 117<\/a> on the men’s side and the 85 W<\/a>, 91 W<\/a>, and 97 W<\/a> on the women’s. The men’s and women’s skis feature the same constructions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redesigned Kore <\/strong>boots (130 and 110 flexes) that are built off the Formula mold and feature a rebuilt hike\/ski mechanism and an extended toe box. Lasts measure 98mm in the 130 and 100mm in the 110. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
