But, they&#8217;re not done yet. This year, they&#8217;re completely revamping their all-mountain line with two brand new skis that are bringing the storm: the <strong>Tempest <\/strong>and <strong>Torrent. <\/strong>It&#8217;s safe to say these skis are like nothing we&#8217;ve seen from Icelantic before. We&#8217;ve got the Tempest on the women&#8217;s side, and Torrent on the men&#8217;s. The Tempest line includes a <strong>Tempest 88, 94<\/strong>, <strong>and 100<\/strong>, while the Torrent includes a <strong>Torrent 88, 96, <\/strong>and <strong>102. <\/strong>Per usual, there&#8217;s stellar graphics on the new skis with a Bristlecone pine theme on the men&#8217;s skis and Ginkgo leaves on the Tempest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, what&#8217;s going on the inside? Icelantic uses a new carbon matrix of stacked carbon stringers shaped like a V in the tip and tail. This delivers pop and stability through the ends of the ski. The wood core is also multilayered to give you a little more rigidity on the inside, but light weight tips keep the swing weight low. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/icelantic-27-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19292\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>A shot of the inside of the ski. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the skis get wider, they get a little stiffer. The idea being if you&#8217;re pushing through variable snow, or a more aggressive skier driving the ski, you get a little more performance through the ski. The 88 on both skis serves as a more intutive and snappy frontside ski that you can hop on as an intermediate and get along with right away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These also host a more &#8220;directional&#8221; shape compared to the Maiden and Nomad, but compared to some other directional competitors, these are much easier to swivel and release the tails with.
