We loved those updates, and thought they made major step ups to the on snow performance of those skis. With some of our favorites coming back, we have nothing to complain about. But, of course Head doesn&#8217;t stop with just new graphics. We get a new ski collection, and a brand new boot. Dive into the details in our Head skis 2027 preview. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s New<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ve probably seen this out and about already, but the big news is a new dual BOA design we haven&#8217;t seen yet. On the new Kaliber LV, you get both BOA dials on the upper cuff. This doesn&#8217;t change the performance or fit, but just cleans up the lower shell and makes it a little easier to adjust both BOAs at once. On the inside, the boot features a 98mm last with a extremely cozy liner. You&#8217;ll get a <strong>Kaliber LV 130 and 110 <\/strong>with this &#8220;BOA2&#8221; design. Women&#8217;s boots don&#8217;t get this feature, as they found once you go smaller than 24.5, the BOA design doesn&#8217;t work as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/head-skis-27-2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19326\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The new dual BOA design on the Kaliber LV. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the ski side, Head introduces the new <strong>Discovery <\/strong>skis. These are skis that are, you guessed it, here to help you discover the mountain. On the narrow side with forgiving flexes, they&#8217;re designed to be easy to flex into, but give you confidence inspiring edge hold and work to help you dial in the technique. They use this fun new material called &#8220;Auxetic&#8221; that stiffens the more it&#8217;s flexed. That means the harder you ski, the more the ski will support that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The waist widths run from an 86mm to 74mm. If it has &#8220;pro&#8221; in the name, you&#8217;ll get a full wood core, while the &#8220;sport&#8221; models host a wood and composite core. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/head-skis-27-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19327\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The new Discovery skis, with the widest 86 Pro on the far right. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Highlights <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>New graphics on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Head-Kore-94-Ti-Skis\/for-sale\">Head Kore<\/a><\/strong> series after their major upgrades last season. Also new graphics on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/Head-Oblivion-94-Skis\/for-sale\">Oblivion<\/a><\/strong>.
