The big news this year? But instead of just metal laminate versions, they decided that the shape was just as fun (if not more fun, depending on who you asked) <em>without <\/em>metal. So, enter the <strong>Dancer Ti <\/strong>and plain <strong>Dancer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.powder7.com\/ski-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/faction-skis-27-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19205\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>You guessed it: the metal ones are in shades of gray, and the wood models in color. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>New skis include a <strong>Dancer 89 Ti <\/strong>and <strong>99 Ti <\/strong>for the metal options, complimenting the <strong>79 <\/strong>that came out this year, and the <strong>Dancer 106 Ti <\/strong>that&#8217;s the same bones as the Dancer 3, just with a new name. On the non-metal side, you get a <strong>Dancer 79 <\/strong>(sans metal), <strong>Dancer 89 <\/strong>and <strong>99. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ti versions contain two sheets of metal still, but they&#8217;re ultra thin. New shaping allows them to be more compliant and less locked into one turn shape. On firm snow, these felt rock solid when moving over icy or variable snow, without feeling overtly stiff. Our initial takes on the wood versions?
