This Ski Is A Staff Favorite:

It's difficult to highlight one specific thing that the Mordecai excels at, because I have yet to find an aspect of this ski that disappoints. A ski designed by Eric Pollard is expected to float like a pontoon and the Mordecai does, but where it really surprises is the astounding edge hold it has when making GS turns on groomers at the end of a powder day. Rounding out its attributes is the fact that it is extremely poppy and automatic to ski switch on, and truly does invite the rider to seek out features to play with on the mountain, and not just on a powder day.

2019 Line Mordecai Description:

Line Skis pushes the envelope on ski design and wins fistfuls of awards while doing it. Last season they blew our minds with the addition of the all-new, never before seen, Mordecai. This turned out to be one of our favorite new skis last year due to its softer flex yet sturdy drive. More than a decade of development has gone into the design of the Mordecai. Featuring a super lightweight Cloud Core, it is futuristically blended with wood and composite materials to create an impossibly light, yet solid, core. Swing weight is reduced with Line's Thin Tip technology which reduces the tip weight by 100 grams per pair. There is no other 114mm waist ski on the market this light and nimble. Additionally, Line has incorporated their tried and true Fivecut design. Ski engineers take 5 turn radii and blend them into the sidecut of the ski. The result is one of the most intuitive feeling skis on the market. Think long turn and the ski opens up and rips. Think short turn and BAM, you're on it. Symmetric flex in the tip and tails will give you unlimited options for buttering up the entire delicious loaf of mountain. This year's graphics are a bit more subdued, and we think they are pretty classy. Fly away with the Mordecai!
