A Baker's Dozen of the Best 2018 Skis

Let's be honest: most of us here at Powder7 are in it for the gear. We like gear--buying gear, testing gear, talking about gear--and we won't apologize for that. 2019 K2 Marksman Description:

The Marksman is the brain child of Pep Fujas, one of the pioneers of freeskiing and a master of the switch pow turn. It makes sense that the Marksman has a playful style just like Pep, but what doesn't make sense is how well this ski rips groomers and rides hardpack. The trick is the Asymmetrical sidecut in the tip and tail that maintains a long effective edge on groomers but keeps the ski pivoty and nimble when off-piste. The Double Barrel Core and Carbon Boost braid add to the skis stout back bone, while TwinTech sidewalls keep the weight down while adding durability. Smooth is fast, and fast is fun. The Marksman is smooth, and via the transitive property, Fun. Trust us. This ski really hits the mark for a west coast daily driver.
