The one. The only. The original. The Scout was Icelantics very first creation. Spawned from the ski blade era, the Scout brought the ninja assassin like quickness and precision of a ski blade to the big mountain. For those of you who don't remember (and I honestly don't know how you could forget), the ski blade was the ultra hip two foot long mini plank you strapped to your feet with a non-releasable binding. Hardcore? Check. Extreme? Check. Suicidal? Check. Icelantic's founder Ben Anderson took his love for ski blading and applied his wealth of knowledge from growing up skiing the Colorado backcountry to engineering a new type of ski and thus the hybrid Scout was born. Half blade, half powder ski, this ski performs in any condition. Don't let its sole length scare you away big cat. Although its only length is 143cm, this ski rips and makes for the perfect touring setup for the larger expert skier. Slap a set of Marker barons on these bad boys and you?ll leave your buddies choking on your rooster tail as you skin up the mountain with the greatest of ease. Ladies and juniors, the Scout is also available in the softer flexing SFT model for the beginner intermediates or those of you flying under the radar at 120lbs or less. The Scout SFT remains unchanged for 2013 except for a Carbonium Topsheet facelift.
