For 2013, Fischer has separated its Sidecountry Series from its Freeride Powder Series. The Wateas are now the Sidecountry skis with flat tails, while the Big Stix are the Rockered Tip and Tail Twin Tips for all your powder needs. Due to camber underfoot, the Big Stix will behave on the hardpack, but will butter all over the soft stuff. Wood cores with Air Carbon Tech and Sandwich Sidewall Construction guarantee a sturdy ski. The Big Stix 120 is rated for the advanced to expert skier who wants to shred steep lines and crush backcountry kickers. You can look, but you wont find these anywhere else until next season!
