Every backcountry skier is searching for the same things: a stash that nobody else knows about, a ski that goes down as good as it goes up, and one boot that's stiff enough for the steepest lines and light enough for the longest climbs. One of those searches ends right now: the Hoji Pro Tour from Dynafit is the do-everything boot of our dreams. Its proprietary Grilamid construction delivers a stout 120 flex in a feathery 1450g package. Combine that light weight with a 55-degree cuff rotation and efficient tech fitting placement in the new Speed Nose shape, and you've got an ideal companion for big backcountry ascents. When it's time to point 'em downhill, the Hoji Lock mechanism steals the show: the flip of one lever locks the cuff into ski mode, tightens the power strap, and tightens the top buckle. Simple, dependable, indestructible. It skis great, but a boot has to be comfortable, too--which is why the wide 103mm forefoot last, generous toebox volume, and thermo-moldable liner complete is so welcome. Powder Magazine, Ski Magazine, and Backcountry Magazine all think this boot is going to be the star of the winter. Put one on and you'll see why. Please note that this boot rarely fits well straight out of the box, and typically requires work with a bootfitter for an optimized fit due to the anatomical shape of the mold. As such, we highly recommend trying this boot on in person before purchasing.
