This Ski Is A Staff Favorite:

    Powder7 Staff Pick Amy
    By: Amy
I really like this ski. With a warehouse full of skis to choose from, it's telling that I keep coming back to this one and have managed to squirrel it away in my own garage for those last minute powder chases. To be honest, it wasn't love at first ride...it took a few days to get a feel for it, but once I did, it continued to deliver. I've skied the Yvette Tour 112 in the Monashees of BC on the biggest lines of my life, I've toured on it for miles during a backcountry hut trip, I've skied it in the powdery goods of Steamboat Springs, and it's been a dream for all of it. It's stiff enough to help me stay on my line, instilling confidence with its predictability. It's forgiving enough to know when I need to ease into terrifying terrain with a few tight turns....before I pop forward, point 'em and let it rip.

In terms of sizing, the 168cm feels just right for me - I'm 5'8" 125#.

Our Take On The 2019 DPS Yvette 112 Tour1 AT Setup:

If you were making a list of the most acclaimed women's big mountain skis of all time, you'd start with the DPS Yvette 112 and work your way down from there. Versatile and smooth, its 112mm footprint floats in the deepest untracked snow, while a stout backbone provides power and grip on variable (or worse) surfaces. DPS's patented PaddleTech shape features a tapered sidecut blended with the perfect amount of rocker to max out that do-anything performance. It progresses through turns with quickness and precision, and carves with the best of them. Skiers who explore every inch of the mountain will have a hard time finding a better companion than the Yvette 112.

The Tour1 construction is DPS's lightest build, precision engineered for world-beating backcountry performance. A blasa wood core is reinforced with the same aerospace carbon fiber found in their flagship Pure3 skis to shave as much weight as possible for long, fast ascents without compromising stability and grip on the downhill. Using premium materials and designed for maximum versatility, the Tour1 construction delivers a best-in-class ride for backcountry rippers--or resort skiers who favor an ultralight plank.

    Ski Features:
Core: Balsa wood with prepreg carbon fiber
    Construction: Tour1 carbon/glass laminate
    Full cap textured polyamide topsheet
    Narrow profile Rockwell 48 edges
Fastest and hardest World Cup race bases
    PaddleTech Geometry
    Weight: 1200g (158cm); 1320g (168cm)
