2019 DPS Wailer 99 Tour1 AT Setup Description:

The skinniest brother of the legendary DPS Wailer 112, the Wailer 99 is probably a better choice for many skiers looking for that elusive one-ski-quiver. At 99mm underfoot, the Wailer 99 outshines the wider Wailer 112 on groomed snow, where its edge-to-edge quickness and lightning-fast turn initiation is hard to match. That nimble feel is especially welcome in bumps and tight trees. DPS's PaddleTech geometry dials in the rocker profile and tapered sidecut to deliver a precise but playful on-snow feel, while a stout backbone grips the hardest surfaces. Big mountain skiers know the value of a versatile 100mm-wide ski, and the Wailer 99 might be the best that category has to offer.

The Tour1 construction is DPS's lightest build, precision engineered for world-beating backcountry performance. A blasa wood core is reinforced with the same aerospace carbon fiber found in their flagship Pure3 skis to shave as much weight as possible for long, fast ascents without compromising stability and grip on the downhill. Using premium materials and designed for maximum versatility, the Tour1 construction delivers a best-in-class ride for backcountry rippers--or resort skiers who favor an ultralight plank.
