The Wailer 105 is a beast. Available in the Pure3 and Hybrid T2 constructions, this burly charger is purpose-built to power through chopped-up snow, carve even the hardest resort boilerplate, and slash steep, untracked lines. A bit of tip rocker helps with turn initiation and keeps the Wailer 105 floating in three-dimensional snow, while a toned-down tail rocker provides a precise, powerful finish to your turns. Its mid-fat 105mm waist helps with that floatation, too, without sacrificing edge-to-edge quickness on-piste. The stiff flex is not for the faint of heart, revealing the engine of a race ski hiding inside its freeride chassis. Big mountain resort skiers who like stability and grip at vision-blurring speeds, or backcountry chargers seeking maximum downhill performance, will have a hard time finding a better ski than the DPS Wailer 105.
The Hybrid T2 construction adds metal reinforcement to DPS's innovative designs, offering serious skiers an exceptionally stable, classic ride. Hybrid T2 skis are a bit heavier than the other DPS constructions, adding some weight to the Hybrid/Foundation series in exchange for more stability, dampness, and power. As with all DPS skis, it features best-in-class World Cup race bases, precision engineering, and formidable durability.
