2019 DPS Skis Preview

Check out our preview of 2020 DPS skis. Highlights from the 2019 DPS skis lineup: The Phantom of the Tech Room As we visited the DPS booth at Outdoor Retailer, they received a "Best in Show" award for their latest big innovation: Phantom. Phantom is a "permanent base glide treatment" that is intended to keep you from needing to wax your skis. How it works: You apply liquid Phantom to your bases in two rounds. 2018 DPS Cassiar A85 Alchemist Description:

For frontside rippers who value precise carving and smooth transitions from turn to turn, the Cassiar family from DPS is hard to beat. At just 85mm underfoot, the Cassiar 85 outshines any other DPS ski on groomed snow. That skinny waist width combines with subtle tip rocker and a 15m radius for lightning-fast turn initiation, while a flatter tail than the DPS Wailer family finishes turns with power and conviction. That quickness also helps off-piste when its time to shimmy through tight trees and bumps. Premium performance in a svelte chassis, the Cassiar 85 is a perfect frontside weapon.

Alchemist is the next step in the evolution of DPS's groundbreaking Pure3 carbon skis and the finest example of their relentless pursuit of innovation. The Alchemist construction uses vibration-tuned aerospace carbon and premium Aspen wood cores for a smoother ride and more progressive flex, without compromising the power and precision skiers have come to expect from DPS carbon skis. The end result is the ultimate piece of lightweight versatility.

Ski Features:
Core: Aspen wood with pure prepreg carbon fiber
Proprietary dampening additives
Textured polyamide topsheet
Full UHMW sidewalls
Wide profile Rockwell 48 steel edges
Fastest and hardest World Cup race bases
Paddle Tech tapered sidecut
