You've seen it. Search "one of those days" on YouTube and you'll find a video series of legendary pro skier Candide charging around the resort. The first one in particular goes down infamously. Candide is absolutely charging through bumps and straight lining into kickers and side hits on vintage GoPro footage. When Candide decided to build skis, you knew he was going to make something that could support the fast skiing and big landings required of park laps and all-mountain features. Enter: the Candide Resort 101. A poplar and paulownia wood core keeps things easy to flick around in the air, and poplar adds the signature liveliness needed for popping off hits and rails. Relatively low camber and deep rocker in the tip and tail make this maneuverable and drifty in bump and tree lines. Progressive mount points and nearly twin tipped tip and tail rocker make this a freestyler's dream. If you want to ski like Candide, get Candide skis. Simple as that.
