Back for 2015, the Blizzard Scout is part of the Free Mountain Lite Category. The Scout is not the lightest ski for touring, however it is the most performance oriented. It is the same shape as the Blizzard Cochise but with a lighterweight layup. Built with Flipcore technology, the Scout will go up, and then will give you the confidence to rip giant lines on the way down.
Construction: Sandwich Sidewall Double Quadrax- Poplar, Bamboo, ISO Wood
Flip Core 3D is a revolutionary new rocker technology. All of this is made possible through the flipped wood core (the ski is actually made upside down in the mold).
Sidewall gives increased impact strength which results in direct handling, increased stability and stable edge grip.
