2020 Armada Skis and Bindings Preview

Read our preview of 2021 Armada skis The Blackout Shift Since becoming part of Amer Sports two years ago, joining Salomon and Atomic, Armada has maintained its unique brand identity. 2020 Armada skis and gear continue to do so (seriously...they've got an edgeless urban rail ski in the lineup...), but with one major exception. 2020 Armada Tracer 118 CHX Description:

The market for light-ish powder skis seems to get more and more competitive each year. When they planned the 2019-2020 line of Tracers, Armada knew this. So they made the big ole Tracer 118 CHX 8 percent lighter while also increasing the size of the fiberglass reinforcement. Taken as a whole, that means easier skinning, floatier floating, and better durability. Titanal reinforcement underfoot bolsters the skis with even more power. For western crazies who prefer wide skis, the Tracer 118 CHX could be a daily driver or the exclusive soft snow ski in the quiver. It can also tour to heady big mountain lines (or slay them off the cat or heli) if that be your calling. Similar skis: Salomon QST 118, Elan Ripstick 116.
