Author: Zack

Zack Zack grew up snowboarding on the hills of the Pocono mountains with an occasional lucky trip to Vermont or Colorado. In the spring of 2012, shortly before Zack arrived at Powder 7, he switched his game from one plank to two. These days you can find Zack shredding trees and bumps at Mary Jane or Steamboat. You might also catch him skinning up A-Basin after hours, or just down at the 6th Alley hanging out!

On Snow Review: 2016 Volkl Kendo Skis

If any of you out there have read my previous posts, you already know I am not a fan of super stiff skis, especially ones that feature metal laminate in the core.  I do have to say that my opinion certainly changed as soon as I jumped on the 2016 Volkl Kendo skis.  It is Continue reading…

What do Colorado skiers do in the Summer?

Alright folks, you have one more weekend to take some turns at A-Basin, but then what are you going to do to satisfy that adrenaline need  for the next 4 months?  If you are like me when I first moved out here, you HATE the summer.  I think I even cried once on a 95 degree Continue reading…

On Snow Review: 2015 Volkl Kink

It’s a miracle, ladies and gentlemen, I bought a skinny ski!  Many people close to the shop know I have a problem buying too many skis, most often wider skis that can only be used on deeper days.  Take a look at the image, that is less than half of the skis I own.  I Continue reading…

We have been proud partners with Icelantic Skis for over 5 years now, and year after year, they continue to be one of our strongest brands!  For the first several years, Icelantic was focused on wider big mountain skis, but in 2014, they came up with the brilliant idea of making skinny (SKNY) versions of most Continue reading…

Powder 7’s Powder 7 of 2015

January and February were pretty dry for us here in Colorado, so we have been spending our days sunbathing in 60 degree weather and dreaming of powder chasing.  In the past three weeks though, we have been lucky to have some major storms move in that created some amazing conditions and we wanted to share Continue reading…
