The company has long been closely associated with ski racing and produced the first metal skis which Egon Zimmerman carved to a gold metal at the 1964 Olympics. With their race pedigree, Fischer skis are known for being confidence inspiring at speed and are their expert skis are favored by strong aggressive skiers who like dependable edge grip. As of late, Fischer's freeride line of skis has become popular among those looking for a strong yet lively ride throughout a variety of snow conditions.
