The name Rossignol bespeaks history and experience. Started in 1907 by Abel Rossignol who combined his carpentry and ski experience to make a pair of skis from a block of wood. Rossignol was the ski of choice for the famous Olmpian Alberto Tomba. Modern Rossignol skis tend to provide a nice blend of carving edge grip and tree skiing smoothness. Their famous Bandit line of all mountain skis is now the Phantom line and the number in the model still denotes the waist width of the ski.
