The TX107 skis are part of the alpine touring-specific line from Kastle, which is designed with their alpine guide team. The TX107 enjoys many of the same features as other Kastle models but boasts an ultralight core that will have you beating everyone to the top of the skin track. There have been no changes at all to the 2016 TX series. The TX107 has rocker in the tips for easier, more controlable handling and better floatation. This is an excellent ski for busting through the backcountry crud and maximizing floatation. The core uses Karuba wood for maximimum strength-to-weight performance. You get a ski that is lightweight underfoot, snappy in turns, and damp enough for charging through a variety of snow conditions. Like all Kastle skis, the TX has Hollowtech in the tips reducing swing weight and keeping the ski quiet. Sandwich Cap construction provides the ideal balance of the high-end durability and edge performance of sandwich construction with the lightweight benefit of cap construction. There is a handy notch in the tail for quick skin attachment. We recommend a tech binding or an AT binding for this ski.
